Here at MY SICK MUSIC, things are just beginning! I\u2019m so excited to begin the journey of cultivating local artists to bring different sounds to the region. In such a diverse population with access to content to inspire from all around the World, there are bound to be people with eclectic tastes and abilities. MY SICK MUSIC will showcase those artists; we will strive to uplift and empower artists of all backgrounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am new to working with other artists as a producer, and I am eager to hone this ability. Just last night, I had a live jam session with actual, real humans present in the room! Impressive, right? It was my first time doing that. I feel like it went well! And things will only get better from here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My studio fits in my backpack, and I have access to a car to meet anyone around the Pictou County area. Since I\u2019m just starting out, my rates for recording, production, writing, and so on are quite negotiable! I think many will find they are quite fair!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
WHAT WE\u2019RE DOING<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MY SICK MUSIC does not shy away from technologies of any kind, including artificial intelligence, open source software, and diverse physical hardware. Let\u2019s expand on artificial intelligence a bit here: Artificial intelligence is taking a really bad beating online. And it\u2019s easy to see why: many creators are losing their \u2018mote\u2019. Computers and electronic devices have always been an enormous help to everyone, especially those people who are disabled. Artificial intelligence technologies will help many people express themselves, achieve their goals and get work done. I believe that artificial intelligence will uplift people who may not have otherwise ever been moved to create.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some say that generated music lacks depth and soul. And while for the moment this could be argued to be true, I can truly tell you this fact: I have cried real tears, and felt real emotions listening to music that was generated with Suno. For me, music is about the music itself, and how we feel when listening. It\u2019s emotion stretched over a canvas of rhythm and time. I don\u2019t believe it needs to be generated by humans to have an impact on humans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have trained a Suno model on a corpus of 22 of my tracks, while also training a vocal model to clone my voice. Shortly, a sample of this capability will be released on this Facebook page. I can\u2019t stop listening to this track, my DNA is all over it! And while the vocals are a bit beyond my capability, they inform my ambition of how I will shape my sound going forward. I can hear what I \u2018could\u2019 sound like or \u2018should\u2019 sound like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is just an early example of where production technologies are headed. And with the recent acquisition of Native Instruments by Image-Line, more capability is coming to this record label since we run on FL Studio since 2008!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Keep an eye out for the generated track! The lyrics are hand-written by me, and interpreted into melody, harmony and rhythm by the custom models trained on my voice and production style. I think it\u2019s really exciting and I hope you will enjoy it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My label\u2019s mission is to provide a mind-blowing performance of music, to break the mold and to honor the giants whose shoulders we stand on. To provide music without borders. To uplift anyone to create and express themselves to the best of their ability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
